- Went to Camp Swift, Texas and became a member of company L, 378th
Infantry, 95th Division
- Approximately 6 months later, the division moved to Fort Sam Housten,
San Antonio, Texas.
- There I earned the rank of T/5 or Corporal
- About 6 moths later, I was promoted to T/4 or Sergeant and returned
to Camp Swift with the Cadre to from Company L in the 386th Infantry,
97th Division.
- Went to Europe and Japan with Company L and was discharged as a
Staff Sergeant Feb. 6, 1946.
